Small, historical apartment house "Al Forte", 1'225 m a.s.l., 2 storeys, from the 19th century. In the centre of Bormio, in the residential district, excellent location: right in the centre but still quiet, 700 m from the skiing area. Public parking 100 m on the road extra. Supermarket 300 m, restaurant 200 m, bar 200 m, café, thermal baths "Bormio Terme" 500 m. Chair lift 700 m, ski school, children's playground 150 m. Nearby attractions: Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio. Well-known ski regions can easily be reached: Bormio 2000 10 km, Santa Caterina Valfurva 13 km, Livigno 37 km. Hiking paths: Croce della Reit, Val Zebrù, Sentiero Glaciologico Alto, Malga di San Colombano, Val Viola. Please note: no lift. Loading and unloading of baggage is possible at the holiday house.

Location Description Bormio

1'225 - 3'000 m a.s.l. >>Famous summer and winter holiday resort, approx 5000 inhabitants, situated at the foot of the Passo dello Stelvio in the Valtellina valley, approx 39 km north east of Tirano. Numerous possibilities for entertaiment: spa with sauna and solarium, indoor and outdoor tennis courts. Golf (9 holes) open April to October, Summer ski at the Stelvio glacier, walking or mountain bikes excursions to the Stelvio or the mountain of the Ortles-Cevedale group, horse riding, disco, pub, cinema, museum, library, botanical garden, lots of little shops and numerous village fairs and music concert both pop and classical. N.B. In winter access is only via Tirano or from Switzerland via Livigno. The Stelvio pass is closed in Winter. From Livigno there is a tunnel which is only open from 08.00h to 20.00h - 22.00h on Saturdays. Small, historical, picturesque town, in the northern part of the region. In the resort: grocery, bakery, restaurant, bar. Indoor aquatic centre, thermal bath oder hot springs, wellness centre, sauna, health cures, massage. Besides: pharmacy. Nature reserve. Access: access via a good mountain road.

Summer

Swimming pool, sauna, cable car to Cima Bianca 3012 m. Summer ski on the glacier. Hiking paths, mountain hikes, mountain tours, climbing, children's hiking paths. Bicycle paths, mountain bike routes, bicycles and mountain bikes for hire.

Winter

The ski area Valdidentro-San Colombaro (6 km from Bornio) has 5 chair lifts and 7 drag lifts for 40 km of slopes. Ski school and ice rink. Ski-region Bormio, total of 13 lifts. 19 ski runs, total length 50 km, snowboard slope. Ski school, snowboard school. Cross country ski tracks.

Asunto oli remontoitu, siisti ja sijainniltaan erinomainen. Omistaja avulias, pieni kielimuuri mutta kaikki hoitui. Meitä oli neljä ja mahduttiin mainiosti. Suosittelen ehdottomasti, rinteeseen n.kilometri, kauppa kulman takana ja ravintoloita riittää ympärillä.(varaathan pöydän etukäteen!)

Ottimo, nuovissimo appartamento dotato di tutti i comfort. Al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti cordialmente. c’erano caffè, olio, aceto, bagnoschiuma e shampoo disponibili. Belli asciugamani pesanti. Mancavano solo delle coperte leggere (il piumone era troppo caldo) ed eventualmente un bilancino in cucina. Wifi non prende molto bene.
